Aaron Goodman is a photo illustrator based in New York City. I have been a huge admirer of his work and sought out to meet and work under him. I gave Aaron a call, and from the moment we talked, I knew he would be a great guy to work with. I told Aaron I would come up to NY a month from the time I called him. I took that time to do everything I could to make this trip. I truly believed that this was a way to get a whole new world of opportunity.
Just to bring you up to speed, I have lived in GA my entire life. My family is in poverty and I work a retail job making low wages. I have worked as a web designer, so I still get clients to also help make ends meet. I have payed my own way through school and also help out with bills at home. I think this trip has made me realize more than any other time in my life that if you want anything bad enough you can get it.
I worked extra hours. saved money. sold whatever I didn't need and got a small loan. Alas, I had the means to make it happen
